Favourite Nude-ish Nails | Sally Hanson

I'm not a bold nail polish girl! I like to give myself plenty of options for different outfits, even if I've got one planed out the weather down here is just so temperamental that  chances are I'm going to have to change it anyway HA! Thats why nude nails are the perfect accompaniment to any choice. The other day I went a little crazy with Sally Hanson, err 16 nail polishes to be exact. They were so cheap that they practically brought themselves.{Or thats how I'm justifying it anyway} A fair few, alright majority, were gorgeous nude colours and I couldn't help but to share my favourites!

First off, Pink Slip is actually a gorgeous bright white colour. It obviously hasn't shown up properly but trust me it's the best pedicure polish out. Parchment is an amazing pearly polish, its like having a stand of pearls on your nails. It's quite iridescent so it takes a few coats to build up but it's worth it.
Naked Ambition is literally me in a bottle, the lightest of pinks thats packed with tiny bits of silver glitter, what more could you want! Choco-Latte is a super pale pink shade, not to much of a girly pink that the fellas at work will laugh at you, its probably the perfect polish for professionals.{Try saying that ten times over}  And then lastly we have Mudslide, this has quickly found itself at the front of my shelf. I always find myself reaching for this as it gives a easy, natural look. It has a muddy, pinky sheen to it and it pretty much goes with anything.

On another note, how amazing is the Sally Hanson range! The brushes are INSANE, I have never-ever gotten a smoother finish than with these and you only have to blink a few times and your nails are dry.
How Fab!

Maybelline Megaplush Mascara!

{Maybelline Megaplush Mascara $19.95 from Priceline}

I've got a bit of a bad habit to get off my chest; I really don't like cheap mascara. It doesn't matter is the flippin' queen has raved about it, chances are I'll pass it off as one of those dodgy sticks that leaves product everywhere but your intended lashes. I'm pretty sure it stems from my first ever mascara purchases when I was about nine, think bright purple, clumpy mascara that I continued to use for the next four years, can you just feel the pain! However I am forcing myself to stop being such a mascara snob; and I can genuinely say that I am a changed woman!

I picked this baby up in brownish-black {Thats definately a technical term there!}  and it's absolutely gorgeous! It doesn't clump one bit and gives a great amount of volume. I'm loving how much definition it gives each lash, so I can only imagine how intense the full black colour would be! Maybe I'll have to go pick that one up too. My only fault with the mascara is that it does have a little fallout during the day, thats probably my fault for not getting the waterproof version, but it's nothing a little bit of concealer can't handle.

If you get the chance, go check this lovely like tube of goodness out!

Homemade Iced Coffee!

Caffeine makes the world go round or at least  it does in my little world! It's the first thing I do in the morning and the last thing I do at night. {I should add that it's tea at night not coffee! I'm not that crazy I swear} I'm an addict and not afraid to admit it, but during the summer months the last thing anybody wants is to be sipping on a steaming hot drink when its 30 degrees out. SO thats where iced coffee has come out to play! It's delicious and tastes nothing like those god awful cold cups sitting around on your old mans desk with the gross milk skin and rings around the top!

You can change this recipe up as much as you like, add some hazelnut syrup, peppermint essence or if your feeling naughty try some condensed milk! {It's so addictive, like a thick glass of coffee-ey goodness}

Your going to start off with 150g of coffee beans. I've gone with a single origin, organic blend but go with whatever tickles your fancy. If you don't have a grinder at home no problem, just buy your coffee pre-ground!

Once it's all ground up nice and fine, mix it in with two litres of water. Make sure its all combined then let it sit overnight on the bench.

After it's been soaking for long enough filter it through a cheesecloth or coffee filter if you've go one. You can strain it twice if you really want to but I think once is enough! Put it in a jug and keep it in the fridge, it should last about a week!

My favourite way to serve iced coffee is on ice with milk and a dash of sugar! But it's great just over ice as well! Super refreshing on those stinking hot days. And if you really like your coffee turn some of the mix into ice cubes so you don't get that watery mix at the bottom!

NARS | Irresistiblement Bronzer

Bronzer is a girls best friend, it can  give you the illusion of model like bone structure with a single swipe or grace you with godess like skin as if you had just spent the last week under the Grecian sun. Either of which I would be happy with on any given day! Whilst in Sydney a few months ago I picked up this lovely bronzer by NARS. It's called Irresistiblement, and let me tell you; this little baby is definitely irresistible.

The packaging is subtle and sleek as NARS always is, what is it about their packaging that makes you want to rush out and get more?!? The bronzer itself could also be described as subtle and sleek! It's completely matte, not a pinch of shimmer or glitter in sight, which would normally completely turn me off but it is perfect for giving a natural looking glow. It's quite a lot lighter in colour than their Laguna version {Which is next on my bronzer wish list} so if your a little on the paler side like me, this would be a fabulous match for you!  It's also not uber pigmented but can easily be built up to give you the desired amount of bronzey-ness so its super versitle for any skin tone out there. It's quickly become my go-to, everyday bronzer!

Maybelline Color Tattoos Take two!

A few months ago I fell for the Color Tattoo range {Click here to check it out} and am still absolutely loving them all.  So when I found out Maybelline were adding to the collection I could hardly contain my excitement.

I picked up three out of the four new shades, the other being a very shimmery silver. My OCD side really wanted to get the whole set but chances are it would just go un-used. The three that I did grab have quickly become a staple part of my daily routine. Just like the others these new additions are super long wearing and so buildable its insane!

Electric Blue is definitely much lighter in real life, unlike the picture it's more of a royal blue than the black that's transcribed. I don't often wear blue, my eyes are green so I normally head along that route but I've been loving using this under my eyes. It gives a gorgeous smokey effect that isn't to dark.

Inked in Pink is the perfect lazy day shadow. It gives the look that you've gone to alot of effort, when really you haven't. And if you've got a spare few minutes, try building it up along the crease and adding a little of Barely Branded into the the inner corner to give the look a little more depth. Speaking of Barely Branded it's creamy consistency is amazing to use as a highlighter, wether thats highlighting your cheeks or brow bone; it's a double whammy product!

If your in Australia priceline have half price on all Maybelline products at the moment, so what choice do you have other than to go pick up a few!

Lush Bubblegum Lip Scrub Major Rave!

Everybody loves smooth lips, right? But try as we do, sometimes those pesky puckers just want to crack. Usually its right before that important date or job interview; or they're the reminder of those few too many tequila shots from the weekend! Once they're chapped there's only so much that lip balm can do and most of the time it makes your un-lovely lips look even worse. That's where this little pot of magic comes in; the Lush bubblegum lip scrub!

Inside is a super fluro pink mix, with a sand like texture and scent that instantly takes you back to those cotton candy lip smackers that were oh so cool! Whilst rubbing this between your lips you can almost feel them getting softer and softer. A few applications of this and some balm, Voila! Your lips are ready for action again. I seriously can not explain how many times this little pot has saved me, so much so that I have invested in several extras just in case! And another bonus is that it actually tastes amazing!! My cousin sheepishly admitted to completely bypassing the lips and just eating it! I'm not sure if I'd recommend doing that but I'd certainly suggest getting your hands on one of these ASAP!

St Tropez Gradual Tan!

Its still winter here in Australia and there's no denying that most people are on the paler side. In fact I could practically pass for an albino. That was until I stumbled across this gradual tan. I'm no great fan of fake tanners, the smell is so overpowering and the idea of rubbing thick black goop onto my body just doesn't appeal at all. And if I'm going to being totally honest, I'm a little bit scared of putting to much on and turning into a streaky, orange oompa looma. I'd almost rather be super pale.

The St Tropez Gradual tan is the exact opposite of that! How I've been using this is to apply it for  three days straight to begin with until I got some colour back into me and then every second day after that to maintain the lovely golden hues. It does still have a slightly fake-ish scent but its definitely bearable although I do generally apply it at night as it does linger for quite a while. As for the cream itself it's very moisturising, so on the off days I've stopped using my normal moisturiser altogether!! It's not to thick either which makes it pretty easy to rub in. The only cons that I've found are that you have to use quite a lot to get a good coverage; and given that the price tag is pretty high I wouldn't exactly say you get a lot of product for your dollar. However I've been buying mine off Beauty Bay and it's so much cheaper which totally justifies the splurge! I say pop out and try it as soon as possible :)

A quick Getaway!

Last Saturday my Mumma, Sister and I decided we needed a break from the men in our family. No shame in that! They can be flippin annoying at times! We hopped in the car and went to a friends shack about an hour away! It's one of those shacks that you instantly feel at home as soon as you walk in the door. First things first a pot of tea was made, the board games were pulled out and time was forgotten about! After many, many games of Rummikub {Rummikub is sort of like a version of Solitaire but you play with tiles instead of cards and which I am queen of in our household!} we ventured outside to take a few snaps and a stroll along the beach. It was quite gloomy but very relaxing none the less!

Because were in the middle of winter it was dark by 5 O'Clock. So after our beach walk all we did was have dinner, play some more board games and then drove back home! It was such a relaxing day; sometimes all you need to get a bit more pep in your step is to take a day to yourself and get away from civilization! Oh, and there was absolutely no reception what so ever!! For the first hour or so I kept picking up my phone to check my instagram and then throwing it down in frustration. But I was grateful for the break from staring at the screen! I dare you to do it sometime; It's quite refreshing :)
