Weekly Favourites // The Tasmania Edition

Why hello there everybody! I thought I'd switch things up for this weekly favourites and go for more of a lifetime favourites. For those of you who don't know, and that'll probably be a fair few of you because I haven't really mentioned it a whole lot. But over this last weekend I've packed up my life in little Tasmania and moved to the big city of Sydney! So in that process my laptop wasn't even touched and in turn my weekly favourites from last week didn't make it up. Sowwwwy! So I thought that I'd share with you my old town, it's an incredibly beautiful place that is often underestimated and thought of as boring. Which when your young it kind of is. But once you get over the lack of shopping, bands and lets not forget the sun; it really is an amazing place to live. I don't want to ramble to much {and I doubt it would make much sense if I did- seriously moving is hard!} I'm just going to let the pictures do the talking for me! I hope you enjoy :)

Lots of love,

Hey 2014.

Hey everybody, long time no see! I hope you all have had an amazing start to the new year. Mine was quite uneventful and I was ready for bed by 10. Is that a sign of old age ?!? Anyway I did make it to midnight and while everyone else was making the usual resolutions to loose weight, stop smoking and save money. I've decided to set myself a list of goals that are slightly more attainable! As much as I'd like to be able to go to the gym for hours a day and manage to save more than a couple of pennies a week I have a feeling that it wouldn't last long ha!

Read More Books
I used to be an avid reader, you would never catch me without at least a couple of books by my side. In fact I think the school librarian got sick of me always having so many books loaned out. So when I started a full time job It came as a shock when I no longer had time to read, unless you count the odd magazine here and there {and they don't let me tell you!} This year I want to set myself the goal of reading at least two books a month.

Learn a New Language
I'm thinking french, just because I think it's the sexiest sounding language on the planet. And I've always imagined myself living in a quaint little cottage on the side of a river, sipping wine and eating cheese. Oh to dream right! But a friend once told me that if you ever want to move to a different county you should learn the language for at least two years to fully understand the linguistics of it all. Who knows if its true or not but if I do ever turn up on Paris' doorstep I certainly don't want to be yelled at by those obnoxious frenchmen. {I want to be able to be as obnoxious back ;) }

Smile at Strangers
Okay so I don't mean in the creepy I'm staring into your soul kinda thing. Just your usual friendly smile. I think sometimes when people are having a hard day  all it can take to make it that tiny bit better is having a stranger smile at them. Or make them really annoyed for having a better day than they are. {Lets hope it's the first} Either way I'm going to start smiling more often!

Blog More
For those of you who've stuck around for a while you may remember that a few months ago I started a little weekly favourites series. I really enjoyed sharing what I had been enjoying that week. So I'll be bringing that back this Sunday but along side that I'm going to be posting far more frequently. Fingers crossed! My plan is to get more organised, get a schedule kinda thing. Although I'm usually quite sporadic I'm sure if I can get my hands on some sparkly stationary it'll inspire me just that tad more!

So theres my New Years Resolutions! Let's come back next year and see how well I've gone :) Have any of you made a set of resolutions this year or have you ever stuck to them for the whole year? You've got my full admiration if you have!

Lots of love,
