L'OREAL Nude Magique Eau De Teint

L'oreal's Nude Magique Eau de Teint {Is that a mouthful or what!?} is one of the newest foundations to hit the market and I'm just going to call it my new favourite foundation. It is quite possibly the lightest and smoothest foundation I have ever used in my life. When I first tapped this it onto my fingers I was a little sceptical; how could such a thin formula cover my face without using a good tablespoon of the stuff, it's thin as water!! But then I started to apply it to my face and wow, just wow. It just soaks in beautifully to give a silky smooth finish and leaves you with the perfect 'My skin but better' look. It still covers all the unsightly bits while still looking as natural  as possible. It has quickly become my go to foundation for days that I spend at uni, sitting in lecture halls full of stale air for hours upon hours cannot be good for my skin on its own, let alone with a heavy coverage of foundation over the top! It's apparently a dupe for the Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk foundation, which i've never tried so I can't say that it is for sure, but one thing I can tell you is that it's flippin' brilliant and if you can get your hands on it- do!

Glam your life! DIY sharpie mugs

I love the idea of being able to personalise everyday objects in your home, and these gorgeous sharpie mugs are no exception! Not only do they look amazing but they would also be a great present to give to a friend with a selection of tea. It's definitely something I'd love to receive. So to make the process a little easier for you i've been testing out all the tricks and tips to making your own at home!

All you need to make your own is obviously a mug- the cheaper the better as the glaze that covers the mug has to melt into the marker and then reset once the mug has cooled. You will also need a permanent marker; I tried using a fancy brand which are proper markers used specifically for porcelain products and I really didn't like the end result.The finish wasn't as bold nor as smooth as the normal permanent marker. So thats what I used, a boring old sharpie that almost everyone has laying around the house. You'll also need an oven, nail polish remover, mittens -all that jazzy stuff but we'll get to that later!

To start off with wipe down the sides with rubbing alcohol to get rid of any greasy bits, I just used nail polish remover and it worked a treat. Then I used an old eyeliner to trace out the design that I liked, it took a few attempts to get the letters how I wanted them. A steady hand is helpful to!

After that I went over the top of the eyeliner with the Sharpie pen. Make sure to press down fairly hard so that the ink goes though the eyeliner and onto the surface of the cup. Now you leave it. Let it sit out for at least 24 hours to dry before you even think  about putting it into the oven. I'm not entirely sure why this works but the one cup that went straight into the oven's ink bled and looked really sloppy. Definitely a no-no there! Once they've sat for long enough put them into the oven and turn it onto 220° celsius. It's super important to put them in the oven before it gets to hot because they might crack if you do. As soon as it comes to temperature set a timer for 30 minutes and let those babys cook! After half an hour has passed turn off the oven and let them sit in there for a good few hours to cool down completely. If you pull them straight out theres a far higher chance of them cracking. Once they are cooled give them a quick wash and you can start drinking your morning chai out of your gorgeous cups!

thisworks Deep Sleep Pillow Spray {And it really does!}

I am quite possibly the deepest sleeper out there. It doesn't matter if there's a party going on in the next room over or the house down the street is on fire and there's a troupe of attractive firemen running around outside my house, chances are I'll sleep though it. However my problem is getting to sleep! I'm a thinker, so I lay in bed for hours upon hours thinking about what bouquet I want in my bridal party or what pair of shoes should I buy for my great-aunties birthday in three months time. Seriously it's ridiculous!!! So in a bid to try and get a bit more sleep I've enlisted the help of thisworks Deep Sleep Pillow Spray.

The spray is a mixture of Wild Chamomile, Vetiver oil and Lavender from the fields in Provencale! It seriously is a heavenly scent to fall asleep to. Now results wise I haven't noticed my sleep being any deeper -although I don't think it could get any deeper than it already is, but I haven't been having any crazy dreams like I normally do. {Which in some ways is a plus but now I have nothing exciting to share over the breakfast table!} That's probably because I have been falling asleep so much faster than I have ever done before. I'm not talking your head hits the pillow and your dead to the world but within half an hour or so my mind has unwound itself and I easily fall asleep. No tossing and turning, examining the uneven paint strokes on the ceiling or organising a wedding that currently has no groom! This stuff is brilliant and if you ever have a few spare pennies I suggest that you pick this up! Your inner sleep guru will thank you ;)
