Sukin was my first ever brand of 'proper' moisturiser. And by proper I mean it wasn't some overly perfumed pink bottle that you got in a cheap gift basket. Not dissing gift baskets obviously! I still remember the first time that I ever tried Sukin. It was in this tiny little hippy town called Maleny in the hills of queensland. I was about 14 and going through a major Hippy stage. {Well as hippy as a fourteen year old could get. I wore billow pants, showered once a week, only ate lentils and was never seen without a head wrap} You will be glad to know that I've since dropped a few of those habits; although I do occasionally wear billow pants and head wraps for old times sakes. One thing that has stuck through those memorable times is good ole' Sukin. Although the formula's have changed and its become a more well known brand my love for it has not disappeared; in fact it has grown as the brand itself has grown. The entire range is natural, paraben free, SLS free, contains no animal derivatives and has no synthetic fragrances. Just to name a few!
The product that got me hooked on Sukin in the beginning was their Facial Moisturiser. It is utterly nourishing. I've come across moisturisers similar but none will ever compare to the amount of moisture that this can give you. I think it comes down to all the natural ingredients that is packed into it; think Aloe Vera, Horsetail{It's a herb guys!!}, Nettle and Burdock. And their just the ones that add the soothing punch. For your healthy glowing skin there's Rose Hip oil, Wheat germ, Jojoba and avocado oil. Wowzers. This is my morning moisturiser as it's light enough to use before applying my makeup and for the past few weeks I've been pairing it with the Antioxident Eye Serum. The Eye Serum is a slightly thicker version of the Facial Moisturiser but it contains Cucumber to sooth the eyes and also evening primrose to help improve the skins elasticity. It doesn't smell quite as good as the Facial Moisturiser but it certainly does leave my skin feeling extra smooth.
Then for my nightly moisturisers i've entrusted the help of a Sukin's Rose Hip Day Cream, I prefer to use it at night as it's quite thick and sits on the skin for a while before soaking in properly. I mix this with a Organic Rose Hip oil and it does wonders. Not only for helping keep my skin nourished but the rose hip oil has really been keeping my acne at bay. Now I'm not gonna lie, the rose hip oil does't smell pretty, actually it reminds me of cleaning out the deep fryer at my old work and I have to hold my nose when I smear it onto my face but it is amazing. What doesn't kill you makes you stronger ey'. The Hydrating day cream is a marriage made in heaven, a concoction of rose hip oil and pomegranate to help with dry skin {Perfect for us ladies who are just coming into winter, damn you guys in the northern hemisphere getting summer already!} and theres also Kakadu plum, which is a native to Australia but has crazy high levels of vitamin C that leaves the skin looking radiant as can be!
And they are all of the moisturisers that I use. {On my face anyway!} When you find something you love you stick to it right?! Have you guys ever used Sukin before?
