Wanderings around Battery Point!

If you've ever been to Hobart chances are you may have wandered up the steps to Battery Point, and if you didn't you certainly missed out on something special! If I had to pick one spot to live for the rest of my life it would be here. The majority of houses are old colonial buildings with more sandstone and brick than you could imagine. There's something almost regal about this little town, maybe its the rows upon rows of roses that poke out over the fences or the stunning views of harbour. I think I spent a good forty-five minutes wandering the streets of battery point just snapping away at houses and the like only seeking refuge in a cute little coffee shop when the freezing winter winds kicked in.   The other thing that I love about Battery Point is that the main street is full of quaint little boutique shops full to the brim of handmade products and lot of local produce. If you ever find yourself with an afternoon spare in Hobart make sure you pop up to Battery Point for a visit, my favourites places to visit are;

Pollen Tea Room -
They have the most amazing selection of teas!!!
56 Hampden Road Battery Point

Jam Jar Lounge-
Some seriously good munchies!

Have you ever been to Battery Point? Did you fall as madly in love with it as I did?

  1. I love Battery Point!! I have a lot of extended family in Hobart who live there, so it was so much fun finding all the little landmarks that I recognise in your photos! Except now I really want to go and visit :/ x
