Dry Shampoo has quickly become an everyday essential to most hair conscious ladies, especially if you've got a whole 'lotta hair washing it everyday can be a great pain in the behind! Thats where this miracle in a can comes in. But which can is the best?!? I've picked out my three favourites to help you find the perfect fit for your locks :)
First up is my favourite, the Tony&Guy Cleanse Dry Shampoo it's the one I always go back to and stock up on endlessly whenever its on sale! This was the first ever dry shampoo that I tried, only about a year ago I think. I've always been so happy with how it leaves my hair feeling afterwards, its not overly drying but you can feel that is soaked up all those excess oils. The smell is another big reason I keep going back. It doesn't have a specific scent like some can have, it's more of a fresh -I just visited the salon kinda smell. Plus its not too overpowering and doesn't linger for to long. This is also my top volumizing spray. It works really well for giving that effortlessly messy look that people like Lilly Melrose do so well and it gives a lotta, lotta volume to most hair types {i.e I've tried it on me, my sister and my best friend. My sister has thick, My Best friend has fine and I have fine but a whole shitload of hair and it worked really well on all of us!!} One bottle does usually last at least a month but I do use a fair bit. The only down side is it's sortof on the pricier side of things at $15.99 for 250ml BUT most of the time it will be on sale somewhere!! Usually two for twenty which is completely justifiable :)
Right then, now onto Batiste. I don't know about you but this is the first image that pops to mind when someone mentions this holy grail product. Maybe it's the pretty packaging or the fact the its at the end of every single makeup isle, but whatever their doing its obviously working. I've received one full size and a teeny tiny sample sized bottle, both in the scent Blush and both in beauty subscription boxes. Even though I really enjoyed using it I was glad to get back to the ole' favourite and for one reason only. The smell!! It's probably personal preference but I found it to be so overpoweringly {Is that a word?!?} strong, almost reminiscent of the perfume you brought at about 8 years old. Remember that one in the unusually bright bottle that was just like a punch in the face of fruit and flowers that you thought was amazing but drove people away!! Yeah, thats what it reminds me of because the scent lingers all day, you can't wear a subtle perfume because it'll get lost! Okay smell-rant over, besides that one tiny flaw it works really well. It gets rid of everything you want it to and lasts all day, even onto the next day you won't have to use as much to get your hair looking fresh. The other thing that I really like is that they have such a variety for all different hair types! If I were to pick this up again I'd probably go get the little mini sized one. It was perfect to have laying around the back seat or in your handbag. The smaller one is 50ml and retails for $4.99 whereas the larger is 200ml and sells for $9.99! And it lasts for ages, like months!
And lastly we have little old Cedel for Dark Hair! My Aunty had been recommending this one to me for aaaaages before I finally got around to trying it. I really love that it doesn't leave me with that greyish tone to my roots that some others can if you get a bit to close but it gets a little messy. I don't know if I just keep getting faulty cans but they always manage to get a bit of leakage and cover the nozzle with brown goop! Which is fine once its dry you can just brush it off but it can be a pain if it gets on your hands. That aside I really like the formula, for such a little can it packs a bit of punch and can get right into your roots! It probably doesn't last as long as the other two but it does the job quite well. Smell wise its pretty good as well, it's slightly chemically but goes away fairly quickly so you don't have to put up with it for long. I've just realised that this is actually the most expensive volume to dollar wise!! You only get 70ml for your $7.99 which is a bit excessive but worth it you need a good dark haired fix!
And thats that! Let me know what your favourite dry shampoo is or if you've tried one of these how did you find it ??? :)
Greetings from Singapore! Lovely blog you have! Anyway, I was wondering if it's alright to follow each other?
